WPP// Priority Earth in Premiere Pro

Having finally completed all of the pieces we need to put the video together we got on Premiere pro to make it happen. I don't really know much about this software, so much like After Effects this was something I had to learn fast. Also Simon is confident with Premiere so learning it was easy with his help. He put together most of the video whilst I continued to fix timings in the animation so that they ran smoothly with the audio. At the same time Simon was doing the same thing in reverse, so we were both pretty happy that the whole thing came together so quickly and so well. In fact putting everything together was super easy, the problem we had was after we finished and had to tweak everything, which took forever as we were after perfection at this point... as is the case in everything.

The video begins with this shot of the logo sliding in from the right, we found some good music to accompany the voice-over, its subtle but its there as to make sure things don't get awkward.

The second shot contains a voice-over introduction to the campaign setting up out theme and answering all the big questions. This used footage of the thermo ink appearing on the poster seemingly out of nowhere.

The following shot cuts to the website and opens with the manifesto, this run down of the site is all in an older blog post...

The manifesto fades to the scroll through of the four pledge options. The icons fade in then slide across so the viewer doesn't forget about the site while they listen to the explanations.

The video then cuts back to the site and talks though the process of the online pledge system and introduces the Priority Pack...

... Which pictures of cut in and form up on top of eachother....

... until we have the whole pack. We ended up going with this way of displaying the books rather than using the video of use unfolding them and such. This was always our plan-b but ended up looking way better and fits in with the overall timing of the video in a much more suitable way.

The video and voice-over go on to explain the maps section of the website with the mouse scrolling over the options on  the page and moving onto the about section and the bottom of the page. This is all detailed in the After Effect post I made a few days ago.

The final screen of the website is of the forum where the voice-over sells its values as a community base and area for people to join together and share ideas.

The video then comes to an end fading to the first two shots of the video superimposed on one another. The audio summarises the campaign once more and ends with the Earth becoming clear of the warning sign as the ink fades followed but everything fading to black.
