TYPEFACE// David Boring

David Boring is a story about a guy called David whose main goal in life is to find what he thinks is the perfect woman. He also is always trying to discover more about his father by reading comic book he used to draw.

The type in this novel is far more standardised, and could have been typed up digitally. It is also a lot lighter in weight, possibly because of the larger amount of writing. Both of these things where made as a conscious decision to make the whole thing more readable.

Unlike the other two graphic novels I have looked at, David Boring has very little stylised type. The language of most of the characters appears to be flatter and more mundane than in Sin City or Maus. This is a reflection on the story, much more subdued, about everyday American life.
